I never really saw the reason for taking the site offline in the first place, it just seems to make the very few active people even less active xD.

Believe it or not, the forums had a lot of changes done (not necessarily visual), but technically speaking, I rewrote many aspects of it.

I think you may have misunderstood. You did a great job on the update, you deserve a cookie:

Oops I ate a part of it :(

What I meant was, I didn't see the point in taking the site offline in the first place. As in, I don't see why it was necessary to take the site down months prior to the update, just to apply the update. I mean, the old site could've stayed online until like, a day before the update?

Edit: In the spirit of this being the website-bugs report, let me report a bug. If a post is the first and only one of the last page, the pagination doesn't show it. So this is page 5, but you can't see that it is, because the counter only goes to 4.

Oh I do see this pagination bug, wasn't aware of it. I took it offline for about a month for 2 main reasons:

1) I didn't want to continue using a pretty broken site for Nevereal Games (aka most people won't revisit a site once they see it's broken I think)

2) Since the API is so heavily reliant on new features of the site, there was no way to really test it without having the live site have the new features..

1) You probably have better stats but I don't think Nevereal was still getting many new visitors. The visitors that came back were already loyal folk, and they are now less active (where u at HexZyle, red3dred?!)

2) demo.nevereal.net :P, for all my projects I generally have a second db (mirror of live db) and a deployment of the development branch set up. So basically, just two sites running, one with the live/master version, and one with the development version. Both query a different db, and all SQL I apply to structures (new table, new column, removed, etc.), are stored by date in source control. So I just have to apply all scripts upon deploying the live version.

Nonetheless, pagination is fixed, right? There's still the bug with forums with new messages/topics with new posts not being highlighted.

I found something thats not a bug but is a typing mistake, when you submit a game for approval, this is what is shown:
Quote:
Your game has been successfully been submitted to Nevereal Games. Since this is your first upload, it must first be approved by a moderator. All subsequent uploads will be automatically approved upon submission. If you need to make any changes to your game, you may do so from your Developer Dashboard.
It says game has been successfully been submitted. I am not that good in English but It doesn't sound right. It should be saying has been successfully submitted

I just noticed this bug:
On the home page if you scroll down till the end, the "<hr>" above "Home About Games Community Upload Game Advertising Terms of Service Privacy" is overlapping the "Recommendations" (games) in the sidebar.

So, i'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but the "Latest News" at the top of the forums seems to be stuck in "Server Maintenance". I can confirm this because both i and HQ made topics after that one, and other posts were made prior.

Whenever I try to create a new topic, this shows up in red color:
Code:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_query() in /var/www/nevereal/public_html/models/ajax_forum_post.php:30 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in /var/www/nevereal/public_html/models/ajax_forum_post.php on line 30

Whoops; that's because we switched over to PHP7 and those functions are deprecated... I'll get those fixed shortly.
